Hygge apartment, Jishan Tower, Hsinchu | Taiwan
A large proportion of the semiconductors used in our electronic devices comes from the centre of the Taiwanese high-tech industry, the city of Hsinchu. Here, directly neighbouring the Hsinchu Science Park, the Jishan Tower offers 4,000 square metres of exclusive living between two green areas for the employees of the technology companies in the best environment. A total of 177 units with various floor plans and apartment sizes offer the residents a hideaway that seamlessly combines luxury and a peaceful atmosphere and provides a sanctuary from the hectic of city life.
For the interior design of the apartments, particular emphasis was placed on generous and light interior spaces where natural light and ventilation are in the foreground. The interior designers at Noir Design have created a special place with the apartment with the Scandinavian project name, Hygge. With only 63 square metres, through clever arrangement of the functions, a generous living space has been created. The
combination of wood surfaces and wood-faced fixtures, wall surfaces with mineral colours, the use of glass and stainless-steel surfaces creates a natural and warm atmosphere. The homogenous material surfaces have the appearance of a screen, while the choice of traditional furniture, artworks, books and accessories fills the room with signs of life. The colours and shapes of the furniture and luminaires stretch from the 1960s to the contemporary minimalist design. Fitting to the high demands, the apartment was equipped with the classic LS 990 switch design in pure white.
