In a peaceful residential district of Bangkok, a spacious house has been built with the P30 House, combining personal expressiveness, modern elegance and tropical effortlessness.

The project was designed by Ratthaphon Sujatanonda architects working with the Interior-Studio Normal Practice.

The goal consists of implementing the individuality of the owner in their various roles as collector, aesthete and host while retaining reserve and spatial quality. The ground plan of the spacious house is organised around a central hall with a gallery, from which two wings extend: one contains private relaxation areas, the other communal areas as well as spa, fitness and pool areas. The design follows the concept of "modern tropical living": large-format glazing open up the rooms to the garden, organic materials such as wood and stone meet marble, metal and light. The variation between open sight lines and specifically designed zones – like in the collection room or on the sculptural stairway – produces a feeling that has both an impressive and intimate effect. For controlling lighting, air conditioning and functions, a KNX system was implemented. Switches and push-buttons from the LS 990 range from JUNG were specifically chosen in various designs: stainless steel in light areas and dark aluminium in contrast for dark room concepts. The clear geometry and the high-quality haptics of this range integrate seamlessly into the finely balanced material composition – as functional detail with creative aspirations.
