Located on the corner of a merely residential and bustling commercial area in Ghent, OYO designed a mixed use residential building with 23 apartments. OYO conceptualized the building to adapt to its direct surroundings while the roof shape and facade blends together, matching the height of its direct neighbors without losing an interesting density on this corner plot that was abandoned for years. The building imposes a timeless character and architecture while the project enjoys great visibility from the busy crossing in the heart of Ghent’s city center.
