The modern house LW 27 in stacked, simple cubes, was built by the planners of Stephan Maria Lang architects in an upmarket residential area in Munich. The villa with outdoor pool stands on a relatively small plot, which is why the flat roof was laid out as a roof garden. In this way, it was possible to create additional outside areas for leisure purposes and to minimise the ground sealing of the plot. On the remaining garden area, large trees were planted around the building which frame the villa and at the same time serve as sun protection.

The ground plan of the ground floor appears to flow into the exterior due to room-height sliding windows. As a result, the pool becomes part of the open living area. A two-storey reception area with an almost religious character creates a connection to the upper storey in addition. Here the parental sleeping area can be found with its own bathroom and separate dressing room along with two children's bedrooms. At the roof level, there are two studies for the parents plus the roof terrace with whirlpool.

The interior design is high-quality. With a reduced material selection and a sensitive lighting concept, a minimalist and at the same time sensuous atmosphere has been created. Both in interiors and in the design of the facade, white wall surfaces meet natural stone and wood. Built-in cupboards create plentiful storage space inside and provide a reduced, tidy atmosphere. Door grips milled into doors and cupboards are an expression of this absolute minimalism. The simple design of the switches, push-buttons and sockets of the LS range from JUNG integrate perfectly into this ambience. The LS 990 flat switches and the KNX F 40 push-buttons in the colours antique brass and white fit perfectly to the puristic but high-quality design. With the F 40 room controllers, temperature, light and shading can be conveniently controlled.

The special thing about the architects from Stephan Maria Lang are the high-quality, the surprising views, the play of light and shadow and the connection of landscape, garden and interior into one complete work. The projects naturally use the newest technology in order to meet the needs for convenience and energy efficiency, and in the process create architecture that is timeless and contemporary at the same time.
