The horizontally structured high-rise building forms a protected courtyard bay in cooperation with its immediate surroundings. The darkly designed outer floors with generous ceiling heights structure the building and are characterized by a surrounding balcony zone. The other floors are connected to the living areas by balconies with different shapes, dividing the large volume into manageable social units.
Planting and greenery
Plant troughs and rod elements in two shapes support the horizontal layering and encourage the residents to green the building intensively. In addition to the individual greening options, the taborama is equipped with fixed greening elements.
Communal areas on all levels
A pool on the roof is available to all residents. Other communal spaces, most of which are multi-storey, are spread over the entire height of the taborama and strengthen the communal living experience and the neighborhood. On the upper three floors there is a bouldering room, followed by a two-storey yoga- or sports-room, a library that is filled by the residents themselves, a craft and painting room where painting workshops organized by the residents take place, a table tennis room and other rooms that are open for use.
At the base of the lower building is a roof terrace with raised beds for the residents. A large communal room for events is directly connected to this gardening terrace.
Access zones with daylight
On the ground floor, you enter the taborama on the west or east side through a spacious atrium. The fitness room and the large bicycle room are directly connected to it. The circulation zones on each floor are enhanced by daylight and views to the outside, creating a positive spatial experience.
For the color concept, querkraft brought in the artist ingo nussbaumer, whose design concept gave the high-rise apartment building its characteristic interiors.
