Task - High-rise residential building with privately financed units and a residential home in the basement. Flexible, expandable, interconnectable apartment floor plans.
Solution - An 85 m high residential high-rise in the form of a slender slice. The reduced structural system offers variability in the floor plans.
The external appearance is characterized by the private open spaces. A circumferential band of loggias with triangular extensions wraps around the building. The balconies move both as a whole and only with their tips. This results in a sculptural interplay of light and shadow.
Heimo Zobernig developed a color concept for the interior circulation areas (based on the research of Eva Heller, "How colors work"), which is based on the psychological assignment of colors. The colors of the term "The Desire" are distributed proportionally throughout the building from the basement to the top floor.
