Located on the former site of the Japanese Self-Defense, the Tokyo Midtown Project returns to the public domain a 20-acre site that was inaccessible for 60 years. The site allocates 5,000,000 square feet of mixed-use development and includes a five-acre public park. A signature tower is located in the southeast quadrant of the site with adjacent lower buildings that form the “foothills,” in a design inspired by traditional Japanese gardens seen in Zen temples.
