Belmont Freeman Architects designed and executed a significant expansion and renovation of Sushi Yasuda, one of the top-ranked sushi restaurants in New York City. The project included the construction of an entirely new kitchen more than quadrupling the back-of-house zone, the addition of two private dining rooms, a new private sushi bar, and the subtle refurbishment of the existing dining room and sushi bar. ADA compliant bathrooms were added, and the entire HVAC system replaced. The work was carefully phased to keep the restaurant in operation through all but three weeks of the construction period.
