Centres of Hope

We have now completed 8 buildings (1 orphanage in Trichy, 3 schools in Tharangambadi, Pudupattinam & Chinakudi, 2 Community Halls in Tharangambadi and Pudupattinam and a vocational training centre in Tharangambadi) for Hope Foundation in 4 locations in Tamil Nadu. These buildings were all built on very meagre budgets and pushed us to think about design purely in terms of fundamental aspects of scale, proportion and hierarchy. Alternate construction techniques like vaulted brick roofing, filler slabs, etc. were used in some of the projects to help reduce costs.
