The landscape unfolds within the house like a living painting. An integrated covered terrace serves as the link between the outdoor “room” and the interior living spaces. In sharp contrast to this connection with the landscape, the house is “closed off” from the street by a lockable pivoting gate, echoing the formality of a nearby rectory.

From the entrance, views extend to the patio garden, which connects visually to the Acad’Emo consultation room. Built-in cabinetry allows spaces to flow into one another: the cloakroom, dining and kitchen storage, and doors to the garage and storage areas are seamlessly combined into a single cabinetry system.

A skylight floods the transparent bathroom with abundant light, which also illuminates the kitchen island from above. A straightforward linear staircase separates the ground-floor guest room from the living room, while the office on the upper floor overlooks the expansive landscape beyond. Wood accents break the desired black-and-white contrast, adding warmth and texture throughout the interior.

Het landschap biedt zich binnen de woning aan als een schilderij. Een geïntegreerd overdekt terras vormt de schakel tussen de buitenkamer en de leefruimtes. In schril contrast met de landschappelijke betrokkenheid wordt de woning ‘afgesloten’ van de straat door middel van een afsluitbare pivoterende poort. Een pastorijwoning wordt de spiegel voorgehouden. Vanuit het inkomgedeelte krijgt men zicht op de patiotuin die gekoppeld wordt op de spreekkamer van Acad’Emo. Kasten laten ruimtes in mekaar overlopen. Zo wordt de vestiaire, de eet- en keukenkast samen met de deuren naar de berging en de garage als één kastenwand vormgegeven. Bovenlicht geeft de transparante badkamer een weelde van licht. Dit bovenlicht geeft het eiland in de keuken ander licht. De recht-toe-recht- aan trap splitst de logeerkamer op het gelijkvloers af van de zitkamer. Vanuit de bureauruimte op de verdieping kijkt men over de trap op het weids landschap. Houtaccenten doorbreken het gewenste zwart-wit contrast.
