Forest Glade House

Oostkamp
Visualisation © Adriaan Claerhout

This unique forest house offers a creative solution to the limited light that living among the trees entails. The living spaces are strategically moved to the upper floor to take full advantage of natural light, while the sleeping areas on the ground floor provide tranquility, security, and a pleasant indoor climate.

The design plays with contrasts: the geometric base shape of the house is refined by the organic curves of the floating terraces and hanging gardens. Materials such as patinated red copper and wood-structured concrete enhance this contrast, creating a harmonious blend of architecture with the natural environment.

This forest glade house is a perfect balance between modern architecture and the beauty of nature.
