The Dresden Klotzsche High School is located in the northern part of Dresden, embedded in an urban landscape characterized by the natural areas of the Dresden Heath and the open landscape of the adjacent fields and arable land.
South of the new school building, the playground and open space open up, offering various recreational areas and sun exposure. Through a slight shaping of the terrain at the edges of the property and a species-rich planting in the central planting islands with gravel paving, green buffers are created within the playground area and also towards the adjacent residential buildings. Benches and steps with cushioned seats invite people to meet and linger. The linear benches, which reflect the radius shape of the building's corners, accompany and encompass the planting areas. The valuable tree population can be partially preserved. New trees will be planted in the playground area and adjacent to the parking spaces.
