Tevilah

México City, Mexico

An aura of light that honors tradition
The Tevilah, an intimate space with a minimalist interior, was lit to complement the natural light and architectural intimacy of a place of ritual cleansing, reinforcing the sensation of protection and respect for those who use the building. The challenge was to produce an aura of light without the intrusion of the actual fixtures: harmonizing the architecture and the lighting of the volumes created.
Linear luminaires integrated into coves and furnishing help to define the geometry and volumes of the building, whilst delicate accent lighting was added to improve the overall luminosity in certain spaces.
