Loft K

Berlin Mitte, Germany

Loft K in Berlin Mitte, a two-story rooftop extension by STP-Architects, is characterized by its flowing horizontal and vertical transitions, exuding openness and generosity. The newly designed interior by Lien Tran Interior Architecture now creates areas for both transparency and retreat. In contrast to the exposed concrete walls and floor-to-ceiling windows that define the loft's urban character, the sheltered living areas designed by Lien Tran offer a home that provides a sense of retreat for the family. Starting with sophisticated wooden lamellas, and extending to tactile textiles and the natural warmth of wood, an exciting dialogue between urbanity and retreat unfolds.
