A hotel in the lush greenery
This hotel is located at the bottom of a valley, surrounded by the lush greenery of the three Takagamine mountains, and near the Tenjin River. It is the birthplace of the Rinpa school of art, where Honami Koetsu established an artist village.
The lighting design concept is based on "Essence", "Ritual", "Traditional Material" and "Takumi (craftsmanship)". The aim is to create a lighting scheme that is timeless, using techniques that will be handed down to future generations while respecting the history of the location.
