An impressive detached house has been built in Dortmund. Everything here takes place in superlatives: The rooms are unusually large, the materials and surfaces of the highest quality, the design coordinated into the smallest detail, the technical equipment corresponds to the newest smart home generation.

The modern building is characterised by room height and extra-wide window formats. Continuous floor levels that only differ in terms of materials between interior and terrace create the visual effect of a coalescence of living and dining area with the surrounding countryside. The already generous surfaces have an even more open effect as a result. The colours of floors, walls, fixtures and furnishings have been kept in various shades of grey. Ochre-coloured textiles, luminaires in an amber tone and art and decorative objects in brass set warm accents in the living area in combination with the natural colours of the fire in the glazed fireplace and the stored wood. A similar colour spectrum was also selected by the designer, owner of Szenario – Lifestyle & Dekoration, for the private rooms such as bathrooms, bedrooms or the dressing room. Soft and warm textiles, deep pile flooring or special wall surfaces, such as wallpaper in a crocodile-skin look, create a cosy atmosphere. The special surface of the JUNG switches in the matt graphite black finish precisely matches the modern, reduced style of the architectural and design language.

The smart building is controlled by a KNX system that ensures maximum convenience indoors. Light, shading and temperature are operated by KNX F 50 push-buttons in the LS ZERO design. All push-buttons, switches and sockets are inserted flush into walls or skirting boards. A special highlight is represented by a wireless push-button that seems to have been placed floating on the pane of an interior glass separating wall.
