Thomas Baumgartner

Thomas trained as a draftsman and completed his Matura through a second-career path before studying architecture at ETH Zurich. He completed his internship with Miller & Maranta in Basel, graduating in 2001 under Andrea Deplazes.

After graduating, he worked as a Project Manager at Boltshauser Architekten. In 2007, he moved into industrial construction for over nine years, designing and delivering production facilities for the food industry. In 2016, he established his own practice.
Thomas is a board member of the Altstadt Brugg cooperative and of the rowing section of the Grasshopper Club Zurich, where he lovingly takes care of the historic boathouse.

Gisella Chacón Jo

Show Biography

Gisella studied architecture at the Bauhaus University Weimar, graduating in 2007. She began her career at AGPS Architecture Ltd. before joining Stücheli Architekten in 2008 and Müller Sigrist in 2010. Over more than eight years, she was responsible for the design and delivery of a range of projects, most notably the new building for the Kalkbreite Cooperative.

She joined our team in April 2019 as a project manager focusing on planning and became an associate partner in 2022.

Jaime Gil Simoes

Show Biography

Jaime graduated in 2014 as an architect from the Universidad de Alcalá, Madrid, with a focus on heritage conservation. In 2010, he spent a year abroad at TU Graz.

After taking a position in the Engadin, he moved to Switzerland in 2015 and has lived here ever since. Until 2016, he worked as a design architect at Lehmann Springer Architekten in Rapperswil, followed by a year at Falbriard Architekten in Zurich.

Jaime joined our office in autumn 2017. He is involved from concept design to detailed planning and is responsible for our BIM management and CAD system.

Emina Rastoder

Project Manager – Associate Partner
Show Biography

Emina graduated in 2011 with a degree in architecture from TU Dortmund and subsequently worked as a project architect at Kleihues + Kleihues Architekten in Dülmen. In 2014, she moved to Zurich to join Althammer Hochuli Architekten.

In January 2018, Emina joined our team and now manages projects with a focus on execution. She prepares our contractor tenders and oversees construction accounting for all projects. She became an associate partner in spring 2019.

Lisa Stango

Project Manager
Show Biography

Lisa grew up in the United Kingdom and studied architecture at the University of Cambridge, completing her master’s degree in 2004. She began her career at Cowper Griffith Architects in Cambridge, becoming a partner there in 2012.

A year later, she moved to Switzerland for family reasons. Until 2016, she worked with EM2N on the complete renovation of the UBS headquarters, before taking her first career break. She returned to the profession at ZSB Architekten, followed by a second break in 2020. Since summer 2021, Lisa has been part of our team, bringing her extensive knowledge to our projects.

Jessica Wälti

Project Manager
Show Biography

Jessica studied architecture at ETH Zurich, completing her master’s thesis under Miroslav Šik.

She spent several years at Ernst Niklaus Fausch Partner, where she discovered her passion for project realisation. In parallel, she deepened her expertise in the planning and site management of public buildings, earning a MAS FHNW in site management alongside her work.

With her solid practical experience, Jessica strengthens our team as a project manager with a focus on execution.
