Project for renovation of building and garden after 34 years
One of the challenges of this project was that a third of the garden was taken up by a driveway. Our first proposal was to eliminate the driveway and partition off a build-in garage so that a natural garden cab be created. The plan was initially accepted, then rejected because the car could not leave the garage. We modified the proposal to incorporate a granite-paved, gently curving drive into the lawn, giving the impression that the garage was isolated from the road.
