Pioneering light
After the parish centre was rebuilt a few years ago, the redesign of the churchyard followed last year. The small square between the church and the new building will not only be a meeting place, but also serves as a pedestrian connection to the Godesberg city centre.
On the one hand, the task was to provide surfaces and facades with drainage, and on the other hand to illuminate the public square. Thus the facade gutters of the parish centre were supplemented by floor lamps which - placed on the facade posts - illuminate the puristic building in an inviting way. The contour illumination by LED light lines integrated into the slotted gutters or paving borders shows pedestrians their way across the square with a friendly light in the dark.
