The rear structure of the terraced house was in poor condition. We replaced the structure with a new beam-shaped residential volume. A well-chosen composition of wooden windows and skylights provide the dwelling with light, sun and views. An underground storage enables us to create an open space which contains the living, cooking and dining activities. Furniture pieces subtly structure the layout of the residential volume. The strict rhythm of the windows on the upper floors in the front façade is continued on the ground floor. The shift of one window refers to the composition of windows in the new rear construction.
